byu vs air force

Jake's Dad let Katrina and I use his tickets for the Air Force game. We started out by taking the kiddies to Apollo Burger. Tom couldn't figure out why his parents took him to a place that did not have any trains. He kept asking where they were, but he still has an awfully cute smile. He gave up waiting for the train to appear and started using the plant in the window behind him as his own "train". He pushed it up and down the wooden window frame, complete with his own customized plant sound of "choo-choo".

I had Katrina take a picture of me at the gate with a ticket to prove we were there. We figured it would make David and Ben jealous.

In spite of the guy in front of us trying to ruin the picture, this is something which you may only see once in a generation. Air Force with a 5 wide set. This was the formation and play which produced the interception at the end of the 1st half.

There were two real highlights during the game. One, a penalty flag when Hall went in motion and the ball was hiked directly to Unga for 6 points. It was called back and the call was "attempt to deceive". Two, when Jessica, who was at the U game texted us to say she was freezing. We texted back that it couldn't have been too cold because Katrina was having ice cream for half time. I told Jessica that she must be used to those warm basketball arenas. It was ever so cute, we had to smile.

yes, we are into the world of blogging

We love looking at everyone's blogs so much that we decided to do our own. We have neither Jake's wit, Betsy's exuberance, David/Stacey's scrapbooking skills nor Andrew/Becca's cats, but we will nevertheless try. So here goes.............

Yesterday, we went to Snowbird (well, Tammy went, Gene was home sick). As you can see, Tammy, Andrew and Becca joined Katrina, Jane, and Tom for a ride on the tram at Snowbird. You will notice that Jane is never very far from Becca.

You can tell from Jane's picture that it was a bit windy. Andrew beat Becca up the stairs to the tram. Maybe that was because Andrew was carrying Tom and Becca was carrying Jane! We were lucky that it was "not that cold" according to Becca. Katrina put on her hat just after Becca's temperature description, so there were varying opinions of the temperature. It was really nice and clear at the top of the mountain. Going over the towers on the tram ride was like a mini Lagoon ride - lots of swaying for a very short time. The view from the tram was fantastic. It was neat to go over the tall pine trees without hitting them and we could see some people walking down the trails, and they certainly looked small. It took some time to get from the tram back down to the parking lot. Jane had to jump down every step. When we went the wrong way, she had to jump back UP the 8 stairs. (Perhaps that explains her short nap at Grandpa's house after we got home.) During the car ride home, Jane asked Katrina why her ears felt funny. I think that was Jane's first lesson on ears and altitude changes.
